It is crystal clear that INC has an idea to permit the students who took “Commerce/Arts” as their optional subjects in +2 to Study Nursing.

Many Nurse Educators feel  ” This is really a strange decision to compare the students who studied Science subject (Physics/Chemistry/Biology) with other Non-Science Subjects (Arts/Commerce). Both the subjects, mental ideas, ability of the Students are totally different. So it is not a good decision to go ahead. Because, the students who joins in nursing without a basic knowledge of subjects Physics/Chemistry/Biology has so many struggles to understand the basics of anatomy, physiology, bio-chemistry etc. They become depressed of the inability to understand the standard subjects and may discontinue nursing or shows a poor passing rate. Hence It is not a goo decision to go ahead.

Already, INC has permitted the students who studied arts/commerce in +2 to do DGNM Programme. Outcome of this decision is very poor because of the earlier points. Hence INC should reconsider the decision of permitting those who did arts/commerce in +2 to Study Nursing” they said.

Many Nurses all over India feels ” It is not a fair decision to include them in Nursing. Nursing is a vital study in the health sector which deals with the life of Humans. we must be serious about this” they said.

Medical Council of India will not permit Arts/Commerce Students to join M.B.B.S

Pharmacy Council of India will not permit Arts/Commerce Students to join B.Pharm

Physiotherapist council of India will not permit Arts/Commerce Students to join B.P.T

But Indian Nursing Council?

The he decision of Indian Nursing council makes Nurses hurt. Hence Throughout India Nurses put a request to reconsider the decision of inclusion of arts/commerce students in nursing.  This request is not to hurt to the students who studied arts/commerce but to maintain the Integrity, Dignity of Nursing Profession, a Stern decision must be taken.

Hence All Nursing Students/Nurses/Nurse Educators throughout india and abroad are requested to share Your Opinions and Suggestions using below Survey Form. Let it Reach to more than a Lakh entries about the decision of INC. The entries will be sent to the INC for further action.
